Claudia Chan is a celebrated author, social entrepreneur and leadership expert dedicated to activating individuals and organizations to lead culture change and accelerate equality. She is the CEO of S.H.E. GLOBL, a content and consulting company that helps companies unlock a diverse and inclusive workplace to transform both their culture and communities. Often called “the change agent maker,” Claudia is the founder of their award-winning leadership conference S.H.E. Summit that has made advancing diversity, gender equality and culture change both accessible and actionable. She is also the author of the leadership book This Is How We Rise which was named by CNBCas a “top career book of 2018” and also featured in The New York Times. Claudia is a sought after speaker on advancing women and diversity inthe workplace. Reading This Is How We Rise gave me confidence to lead our new women’s employee resource group (ERG) at Samsung. Launching a new ERG is hard, scary, and intimidating, especially when it’s on a volunteer basis. The book helped give me perspective that my life struggles and career challenges were for a greater purpose to help lead others towards achieving workplace equality. Things clicked when I read the book. I got it, “me for we”, understand my purpose, know my inner source, and I leverage my unique talents to lead change. The book has led me to so many new people that I would have never interacted with, but what I’m most humbled by are the moments when people tell me I’ve inspired them too. Everyone can make a difference, just take the first step forward.
